NORTHMONT NJROTC EARNS PUBLIC SERVICE HOURS AT KETTERING WALK FOR WOMEN'S WELLNESS
Over fifty Northmont NJROTC cadets and parents arrived at Carillon Park by 7:00 AM on Sunday, May 1, to help the Kettering Medical Center put on their annual Walk for Women's Health. Cadets started working early, setting up registration and vendor sites and parking areas before the event began. After a brief breakfast, the cadets went back to work, manning tables, parking areas, and the walk site. Hundreds of walkers participated in the 3K walk, joined by several NJROTC cadets who were not already working other parts of the event. Following the walk, a crew of cadets cleaned up the venue. Fundraising Coordinator Kelly Lewis, joined by incoming Public Service Coordinator Penny Cook, helped to arrange this public service opportunity and to organize cadets and parents. Thanks to all parents and cadets who helped to make our second Walk for Women's Wellness such a success!

Northmont NJROTC cadets had the opportunity to earn Public Service hours at the Whispering Pines Christmas Village in New Lebanon during the holiday season. Uniformed cadets assisted with surveillance, serving cookies, greeting visitors, and helping Santa. Cadets earned additional Public Service credit by donating toys to be distributed by Santa.
NORTHMONT NJROTC SPONSORS BLOOD DRIVE
Northmont NJROTC worked with the Community Blood Center to sponsor a Blood Drive at the Kleptz YMCA on Saturday, October 23, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Cadets, parents, and community members came to the Bloodmobile bus throughout the morning, filling each of the 40 appointments available.
